Verdigris River bridge re-opened to traffic

Work on a concrete bridge crossing the Verdigris River on Hwy. 60 in Nowata County was completed opening traffic for the first time in more than a year.

The concrete bridge was replaced by a steel and metal truss bridge, built in 1954.

Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews closed all lanes of east and westbound traffic on US-60 from three miles east of the US-169 junction to about three miles west of the State Highway 28 junction. Drivers were directed to use US-169 and SH-28 as a detour... FULL ARTICLE
