The construction of the eight new proposed weigh stationsthat are scheduled in Oklahoma is moving ahead.
According to information from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) the acquisition along Interstate 40 near Roland in Sequoyah County is complete. The final production meetings necessary to commence final right-of-way preparations and acquisitions on the remaining locations are being scheduled this month.
ODOT officials anticipate that the necessary acquisitions will begin early this summer.
Terry Angiers, ODOT public information officer, said, “We get everything ready and build the stations as the funds are available.
“We have the funds to construct the one in Beckham County on I-40 and the one in Kay County on I-35,” Angiers said... FULL ARTICLE
