OKLAHOMA CITY — Portions of the Creek and Kilpatrick turnpikes likely will be widened before segments of the Turner Turnpike, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority administrators said.
A little more than a year ago, the authority initiated a study to look at the long-term demands and needs of the state's turnpike system, said Tim Stewart, deputy director.
"And in Tulsa and Oklahoma City those demands are quicker than they are along the Turner Turnpike," Stewart said.
Indications are that the two urban turnpikes will need to have portions widened around 2014, while the Turner Turnpike's required expansion will be in 2020, Stewart said... FULL ARTICLE
