Oklahoma City -- State budget cuts are posing issues for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Record snowfall forced crews to work overtime to keep interstates and highways clear. With more winter weather on the way, officials say they'll do what they have to to continue to keep you safe. KSBI Thunder TV's Kealey McIntire reports.
Since Thursday morning, ODOT crews have been preparing the salt and sand mixture and applying it to the roadways.
One-hundred-fifteen crews worked 12 hour shifts throughout the holiday weekend and a few areas were still being treated Tuesday.
In a year when state agencies are dealing with budget cuts, ODOT knows overtime will be an issue during winter weather events...
