Work on Arkansas River bridge in Bixby finished

All lanes on the Arkansas River bridge in Bixby are open, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation said Monday.

The $1.2 million project, which began in January, involved improvements to the bridge and resulted in traffic being narrowed to one lane in both directions.

“Drivers should use caution and be alert to short-term lane closures in the corridor as work completes on this bridge rehabilitation project over the next several weeks,” ODOT said in a news release.

The Memorial Drive/U.S. 64 bridge is the only crossing over the Arkansas River in south Tulsa County, other than the Creek Turnpike... FULL ARTICLE
