What’s a job?

Never heard of it.

That was the attitude of the Oklahoma legislature as it passed a two-year moratorium on more than thirty tax credits used by business to create jobs.

It doesn’t matter that Oklahoma lacks enough jobs to employ its graduating college seniors.

We have far too many people unemployed or underemployed. Pawnee County, like so many others in Oklahoma, reports more than 70 percent of its residents living at or below the poverty level.

Why must that be?

It’s because we continue to spend education dollars on administration and not in the classroom. That in turn produces mediocre graduates who are uneducated and do not have the skill sets to compete in a global economy... FULL ARTICLE
