KINGSTON, Okla. (KTEN) — Drivers and neighbors are soon going to see orange cones and road crews along Texoma Park Road following approval of a $3.5 million improvement plan.
"The Oklahoma State Bird is the orange traffic barrel and cone… we all know that," said Joe Senteol, who lives along the road.
The approval came Monday at a meeting of the Oklahoma Transportation Commission, updating the agency’s five- year county roads and bridges plan.
"Coordinate on what improvements the counties need in their road system," said Oklahoma Department of Transportation spokesperson TJ Gerlach.
