Annual roads and bridges report shows infrastructure conditions declining in Michigan

Author: Steven Bohner June 12, 2024 LANSING, Michigan — The conditions of roads and bridges in Michigan are getting worse faster than they can be fixed and that trend is expected to continue through the next decade, according to a new report.

An annual report from the Michigan Transportation Asset Management Council (TAMC) shows that the state's infrastructure is falling into disrepair faster than its maintenance needs are met.

Michigan's 2023 Roads & Bridges Annual Report is divided into five sections that cover everything from road and bridge conditions to forecasting, investment reporting and data collection.
