Another U.S. state raises speed limit to 80 mph

Since the decisions on speed limits have been left up to individual states since 1995, North Dakota has now come forward to announce it’s the ninth state in the union to raise its speed limit on some multi-lane highways to 80 miles per hour, effective Aug. 1, it was reported on al.com

The report also went on to indicate that the state’s legislature passed a law last week allowing for the higher speeds, which also means speeding will come with higher fines.
