Barron chosen to lead ODOT's Comptroller Division

Christy Barron was named comptroller for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in October 2020. Barron comes to the department from the City of Midwest City where she worked as treasurer and finance director since 2016. Prior to her time there, she served in the State Auditor and Inspector’s Office for nine years with positions in the Quality Assurance Division and the State Agency Audit Division. Barron is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association. She became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 2012. Barron graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2007. She and her husband, Jay, have three children and live in Midwest City.
