Hey Day Entertainment in Norman to close after OTA buys property for highway project

After nearly 20 years in Norman, HeyDay will close regular operations on Aug. 28 after the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority bought its property for planned highway construction.

NORMAN, Okla. — HeyDay Entertainment in Norman will be closing its doors this month after an agreement to sell the property to the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority.

The Norman facility will close regular operations on Friday, Aug. 28, and it will continue hosting previously scheduled private events through September, according to a statement from HeyDay.

The announcement, which was posted to social media, said OTA agreed to purchase the property for planned highway construction. After construction is complete, HeyDay said it will evaluate the possibility of rebuilding a nearby property.
