I-35 bridge rehabilitation project expected to disrupt Oklahoma City traffic

The Oklahoma Transportation Commission on Monday awarded a $1.7 million contract for bridge rehabilitation work on Interstate 35 just south of the Interstate 40 interchange. The project is expected to begin in about six weeks and take nearly six months to complete. Major traffic disruptions are expected, particularly during the latter stages of the project, said Lisa Shearer-Salim, public information manager for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
