I-35, I-44 FACE LANE NARROWING AND CLOSURES AS EXTENSIVE BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT BEGINS

Traffic on and off the highway near Interstate 35 and Interstate 44 is beginning to slow as the Oklahoma Department of Transportation begins a bridge reconstruction project, which is expected to last until 2025.

OKLAHOMA CITY- As part of a series of road work operations in the northeastern part of the Oklahoma City metro, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation is warning drivers of delays in the area.

Work on southbound Interstate 35 at Interstate 44 began Tuesday night and is expected to reopen Wednesday morning.

Even further into the future, however, I-35 and I-44 are expected to be narrowed near Northeast 63rd Street through 2025 for a bridge reconstruction project.

While the project is underway, the following roadways will be closed or narrowed:
