I-44, Highway 75 construction to cause major delays for the next 2 years

by Jeff Morgan January 25, 2021 TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Driving in west Tulsa is going to be stressful for the next two years as a major construction project gets underway Monday. The area of Interstate 44 from the Arkansas River to Union Avenue is getting a major upgrade. One that will cost $90 million, half of which comes from the federal government, and will cause issues for anyone traveling the area. “We really want drivers to understand it is going to impact traffic for quite a while," said Kenna Mitchell with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
