Is Oklahoma Cicty a walkable city? Projects in works to help that

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — It feels like almost every day, KFOR has covered pedestrian vs. car accidents. It brings about questions regarding Oklahoma City’s walkability for its residents. We dug into some stats and what city projects are in the works to help out.

“Oklahoma City has some spots that are walkable and a lot of spots that aren’t,” Oklahoma City Transportation Program Planner Justin Henry said. “We went through about a 50-year cycle where we really didn’t build any sidewalks, so we kind of built up a lot of demand for that.”
