News Channel 8 Tulsa by Ashley Ellis January 11, 2021

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Road projects are getting underway Monday in Green Country.

A major project on the Turner Turnpike will begin this morning as crews will work to widen a four-mile stretch of the interstate to six lanes. Construction will start at the entrance to the Creek Turnpike near Sapulpa.

Along with more lanes, crews will add a new median wall and make the shoulders larger, and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation is lowering the speed limit to 60 in the construction zone for safety.
