OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced on Monday that it is participating in the "Check Your Height, Know It's Right" public awareness campaign.

The campaign is aimed at helping drivers avoid striking bridges with their vehicles and encourages people to check the height of their vehicle and load before traveling.

ODOT said bridge strikes damage vehicles and infrastructure, cause traffic delays, and put the public and first responders at risk.
