Oklahoma City's streetcars will remain free through August 20, with EMBARK officials saying they need more information before the Central Oklahoma Transportation & Parking Authority makes its decision on a possibly permanent free fare.

COPTA was scheduled to consider the program on Friday, July 10, five days after the original end date. The decision has been tabled for Aug. 7 so EMBARK can collect more rider data.

COPTA has options when it comes to streetcar fares. One possibility is free fares being extended again for more data collection or other reasons.
