Oklahoma City begins diverging diamond project at Northwest Expressway

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Construction is underway at the busy intersection of Northwest Expressway and May Avenue in Oklahoma City as crews begin a major overhaul aimed at easing congestion and improving safety.

The two-year, $15 million project will replace the existing May Avenue bridge with a new diverging diamond intersection, a design city officials say will improve traffic flow and safety.
