Rep. Brecheen praises administration on withdrawal of speed limiters rule

Oklahoma Congressman Josh Brecheen called it “great news.” He supported the recent decision by Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to withdraw the proposed Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rule requiring speed-limiting devices for truck drivers.

It was called the speed limiters rule and was introduced in 2022 by the Biden administration’s FMCSA which said it was proposed “because of concerns about the number of CMV (commercial motor vehicle) crashes and fatalities traveling at high speeds.”
