TRUST organization honors two with Guardian of Transportation Award

LaVern Phillips of Woodward and Gene Love of Lawton honored at the Transportation Innovation Forum in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY — Transportation Revenues Used Strictly for Transportation, an advocacy group dedicated to funding and restoring Oklahoma’s surface transportation infrastructure, presented its tenth and eleventh Guardian of Transportation awards to two longtime surface transportation advocates, LaVern Phillips of Woodward and Gene Love of Lawton, during its Transportation Innovation Forum held today at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City.

Phillips, an original member of the TRUST Board of Directors from 2006-2026, is the former longtime executive director of the Woodward Industrial Foundation and a lifetime supporter of improving Oklahoma’s surface transportation infrastructure.
