Tulsa drivers, brace yourselves for a bevy of road narrows and detours as the city undergoes extensive bridge rehabilitation and construction projects. According to an update from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, US-75 is set to be a one-lane affair between 56th St. N. and 66th St. N. until summer 2026. This phase of narrowing affects both northbound and southbound traffic, as structures of steel and concrete demand their inevitable repairs.
Evening travelers through Jenks will find roadwork a constant companion, with southbound US-75 constricting to a single lane from 81st to 96th streets, impacting night owls from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through the middle of September. In disarray, the northeast corner of the Inner Dispersal Loop is also getting its share of attention, including daily lane closures on northbound US-75 at I-244, and the ramp from westbound I-244 to 1st St., both narrowed until mid-September.
