We have been making progress, but Oklahoma's roads, bridges still need a little love

Roads and bridges are essential parts of Oklahoma's infrastructure, and right now, we need the continued support of our state Legislature. We should proudly promote how Oklahoma has gone from 49th to ninth in bridge conditions — a considerable feat that has been made possible through bold investments and our state’s eight-year construction plan. However, we must not overlook the need to address our crumbling roads and life-threatening two-lane highways across the state. Shoulders need to be added to these dangerous roads to ensure the safety and well-being of the traveling public. Motorists should not have to put their lives at risk when changing a tire on the side of the road.
