CLAREMORE, Okla. - Eastbound lanes of the Will Rogers Turnpike are back open near State Highway 20 in Claremore after a dump truck struck an overpass Wednesday morning.

According to the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, the crash happened near mile marker 252 when a dump truck with its bed raised hit the County Road 4150 overpass.

Crews worked Wednesday to clean up the scene while bridge inspectors assess the damage. As a precaution, County Road 4150 over the turnpike was closed as inspectors determined the extent of the damage. Crews anticipate narrowing eastbound Will Rogers to one lane again from 7 p.m. Thursday through 6 a.m. Friday for bridge repairs.
