CATOOSA, Okla. - The rebuild of the I-44 and State Highway 66 interchange in Catoosa is now about two-thirds complete, with the $52 million project now estimated for an early 2027 opening.
Several lanes are narrowed, and some ramps have shorter merge areas during construction.
The work will flatten and straighten the lanes of I-44, particularly eastbound, removing an “s” curve that led to frequent accidents. The connection for State Highway 66 will be improved with a new flyover bridge from eastbound I-44 to northbound 66.
