EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) — If you hate Edmond traffic, here’s your chance to do something about it. The city wants to know the location of your traffic trouble spots.

In November 2025, 805 Edmond voters approved two sales tax initiatives.

“We were happy with the voter turnout,” said Maggie Murdock Nichols, City Councilmember of Ward 1.

One of those initiatives was for a 1/2 cent improvement sales tax for the next 10 years.

“With that, everything is going to be dedicated to road improvement projects,” said Casey Moore, the Director of Management Services with The City of Edmond.

Moore said that in one year, that will generate $12 million. At the end of the allotted ten years, it will have generated $120 million strictly for road projects.
