County approves project bids

Bid projects took precedence with Commissioners on Monday as five new bids for county projects came to the board’s desk for discussion and approval.

Prior to opening new bids, the county board opened up old business and accepted a donation of 222 tons of asphalt millings from Oklahoma Department of Transportation to Stephens County District #1.

With the first new bid up, the county board looked at bids for chemicals and herbicides (products only) to be used by several departments within the county. Board officials approved a lowest and best bid from Heritage PPG.

The second set of bids from HG Jenkins and Overland were for HM/CL for all three districts. The board tabled this item.
