Highway 169 widening project set to begin Monday in Owasso, slowdowns expected

OWASSO, Okla. - A road project set to begin on Feb. 16 is expected to cause significant traffic delays along Highway 169 in Owasso.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the construction will impact thousands of drivers, but the long-term improvements are expected to ease congestion once the project is complete.

ODOT says the Oklahoma Transportation Commission awarded over $10 million for this project in June 2025 to Sherwood Construction Company.
