Demolition prep for former Myriad Convention Center to create traffic issues

Oklahoma City officials on Saturday announced that the city’s streetcar service will be temporarily suspended from May 13 to 16.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City officials on Saturday announced that the city’s streetcar service will be temporarily suspended from May 13 to 16.

The suspended service is due to the need for the Oklahoma Gas & Electric Company to disconnect power from the former Myriad Convention Center. City officials said the work is being done to support the demolition of the old convention center to make way for construction of the city’s new arena.
