Dupont Street will be closed between Chambers and Moore avenues for the next several weeks, said Claremore City Manager John Feary.

People who live or work on this stretch of Dupont Street will still be able to use it while it's closed. Cat Creek Dog Park, just east of Chambers Avenue, likewise remains accessible.

Feary said workers are performing simple surface repairs to Dupont. He said the repairs will take a few weeks because it takes a couple of days for workers to extract and replace each panel.

"We had calls a couple of years ago," Feary said. "We had a sewer line issue deep under that street, farther to the west, and so we ended up replacing a lot of the panels."
