NormanOK.gov has reported an emergency sewer line repair currently underway in the 800 block of East Alameda Street, necessitating the closure of the outside westbound lane to traffic.

Officials urge drivers to approach the area with increased caution and be mindful of workers present on-site.

Work on the sewer line is expected to extend over multiple days with the projected completion set for Wednesday, April 30, by noon; the schedule, however, is subject to change depending on weather conditions, the lane is expected to be reopened upon completion of the repair work.
