Highway construction projects to slow traffic in some areas of Oklahoma

Holiday travelers across Oklahoma endured a long list of highway construction projects.

The state Transportation Department had warned motorists of the travel slowdowns on interstates, major highways and turnpikes at least through Sunday, July 7.

Some of the slowdowns will continue as the projects remain underway.
