Holiday shoppers in Sand Springs will need to take detours as parts of Highway 97 are closed for construction

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — Holiday shoppers in Sand Springs will have to take detours as portions of State Highway 97 are closed for construction.

While of Highway 97 are closed for repairs, Sand Springs city leaders encourage shoppers to continue supporting local businesses even if you have to take a detour in the busy area.

Northbound and southbound lanes are blocked at Main Street as the Sand Springs railway company makes repairs.

Drivers can detour at State Highway 51, State Highway 151, and US-412.

Main Street just north of the Arkansas River bridge is still open to traffic.
