Lawton City Council awards bid for Goodyear Blvd construction

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Lawton City Council awarded a bid for the construction of Goodyear Boulevard from Cache Road to the railroad crossing in their May 16 city council meeting.

The bid was given to T & G Construction for the amount of $4,982,600.16.

According to Joseph Painter, the Director of Engineering for the City of Lawton, this is just phase one of the project. The reason for the phase split is to make sure the road can stay open for businesses and residents to go about their day as normal, according to the City.
