Lawton City Council confirms 105 mill and overlay projects for 2025

Project will be tracked continuously

KSWO By Seth Marsicano Feb. 26. 2025 LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - At the most recent Lawton City Council meeting, councilmembers certified a list of 105 roads to be placed on the mill and overlay program.

This number has steadily increased as the New Year progressed. Originally, Councilman George Gill and Chair of the Streets and Bridges Committee said he planned to complete 80 roads over 2025. However, during Mayor Stan Booker’s New Year’s Address, the Mayor upped that number to an even 100, which has since become 105.

The new goal is more than doubled from the 40 roads city officials attempted to mill and overlay by Thanksgiving of 2024. View the full article: KSWO.com
