Voters in Marlow’s district passed a $1M transportation bond with immense support Tuesday.

Passing with a 70.02% yes rate over the 29.97% no votes, the bond totaling $1,000,000 will bring a tax increase to property owners of 1.37% on property tax. The bond will fund a modernization of Marlow Public Schools’ student transportation fleet, allowing the district to purchase six standard yellow school buses and two 14-passenger student transportation vehicles.

The bond will help to provide students with safe and reliable transportation to and from school, as well as school-related activities, according to district officials.

Superintendent Corey Holland said he’s grateful for the voters who participated in election and he’s thankful for the support.
