Meeting set for June 29 in Ringwood for public input on US-60 interchange improvement project

Oklahoma Department of Transportation Press Release Wednesday, June 21, 2023

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is seeking public input on options to improve the intersection of US-60 and SH-58 in Ringwood. The meeting will provide the public information about potential improvements to the interchange and the potential impacts to drivers and the surrounding community. The purpose of this project is to increase the safety and operation along the highway while remaining sensitive to the goals of the community. Potential intersection alternatives include:

  • Construction of a J-Turn to provide more room on existing roadways for drivers making U-Turns.

  • Construction of a wider median in existing right-of-way for drivers to use as they turn onto US-60.

  • Replacing the current intersection with a Roundabout. This option would require the purchase of additional right-of-way.

US-60 Ringwood project Thursday, June 29 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Meeting will begin with a presentation Ringwood City Hall 200 N. Main St. Questions and comments may be directed to the ODOT Environmental Programs Division at 405-325-3269 or environment@odot.org.
