Moore police report nearly 100 school zone traffic stops during first week of school

Moore police are reminding motorists that they’re out and about and looking to protect children as the school year has started.

MOORE, Okla. — Moore police are reminding motorists that they’re out and about and looking to protect children as the school year has started.

Police officials on Saturday reported that officers had made a total of 97 traffic stops in school zones from Tuesday through Friday.

“Back-to-school week brought changes to school zone lights at the request of Moore Public Schools, and MPD has been out in full force,” officials wrote in a social media post.
