New survey shows most drivers support impaired-driving technology

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — AAA Oklahoma says impaired driving continues to be one of the biggest dangers on our roadways.

“Everybody knows that it’s wrong, but for whatever reason, people still get behind the wheel when they shouldn’t be,” said Shawn Steward, spokesperson, AAA Oklahoma.

Steward says AAA recently completed its annual survey of drivers called the “Traffic Safety Culture Index”.

In that survey, 93% of people said drunk driving is extremely dangerous, but 7% said they still got behind the wheel.
