OWASSO, Okla. — The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is asking drivers for patience as construction work in Owasso continues.

It's all part of the $13.6 million widening and bridge project.

Drivers are being told to build in some extra time in the morning and evening to get through the work zone.

The construction is around U.S. 169 and 76th Street North in Owasso.

"We know it’s a headache, we just ask for everybody’s patience as we work through and complete the project," TJ Gerlach from ODOT said.

Monday and Tuesday, the northbound on ramp and southbound off ramp on 169 were closed around 6th Street north and it was down to one lane on 76th.
