LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - The Oklahoma Department of Transportation began work Wednesday, July 31, on a significant infrastructure improvement project aimed at enhancing road safety and traffic flow along Rogers Lane.

The project aims to upgrade guardrails, traffic signals from 82nd Street to I-44, and modify medians to restrict northbound city streets from making a left turn to westbound Rogers Lane, except at existing signalized intersections.

Work began in the area between 82nd St and 67th St with the inside lane in each direction closed.
