Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) recently announced a new funding opportunity as a part of their Transportation Alternatives (TA) Set-Aside program.

According to the ODOT website, TA “provides funding for a variety of transportation projects that prioritize safety, comfort, and connectivity to destinations for all people who use the street network…”

Potential projects include pedestrian and bicycle facilities, construction of trails and viewing areas, historic preservation and vegetation management and Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) projects, among others.

TA seeks projects in areas outside of Oklahoma City and Tulsa with populations of 0-5,000, 5,001-50,000 and 50,001-200,000, with adjusted fund matching for each population size.
