The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is asking the public to provide input on the future of transportation across the state. The new edition of the Long-Range Transportation Plan evaluates long-term trends, community needs and emerging technologies to establish transportation priorities through 2050.

This federally required plan establishes a comprehensive vision for Oklahoma’s transportation future, “guiding the development of a multimodal network that ensures safe, efficient and reliable transportation options for every Oklahoman,” according to ODOT Executive Director Tim Gatz.

“Our goal is to create a safety-centric transportation system that works for every Oklahoman, whether you're commuting to work, shipping freight or accessing essential services,” Gatz said. “The public's voice has shaped this draft and we’re asking for feedback again to make sure we’re moving in the right direction.”
