Speed limit slowed through Stringtown

STRINGTOWN, Okla. (KTEN) — Stringtown police are putting motorists on alert: You'll have to drive more slowly through the city.

As of Wednesday, the speed limit has been reduced to 50 mph on US 69 along a residential stretch. It had been 60 mph.

Stringtown officials had asked state officials for a speed reduction in the wake of a series of serious accidents.
