DEL CITY, Okla. — A major construction project along Interstate 40 is set to begin this week in the Oklahoma City metro.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation plans to replace several bridges along the interstate in the Del City areas. Starting Tuesday morning, ODOT will begin working on those bridges in a project that is expected to take about 2 1/2 years.
“This is one of the final projects in the metro area,” said Terri Angier, with ODOT.
The long-awaited project will replace six bridges between Sunnylane Road and Hudiburg Drive.
