OKLAHOMA CITY —

As tribal nations gathered in Washington, D.C., for an annual summit at the White House, President Joe Biden signed a new executive order into law designed to make it easier for tribes to get access to federal dollars.

Two Oklahoma chiefs said the change will have a meaningful impact. Biden spoke before a room full of tribal dignitaries on Wednesday afternoon at the White House, saying more needs to be done to make it easier for tribes to fund a wide variety of public projects.
