OKLAHOMA CITY- (KOKH) — The city of Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation are discussing a project to redesign Northwest 23rd Street to make it more bike and walking-friendly.
"You can see a lot of people, a lot of cars, a lot of traffic, but other people walk around here in the morning, they exercise, they walk dogs, cats here too, so I think this is a good area for doing this project," said Ivan Wong, Owner and Manager of Formosa street food and bar.
Wong welcomes the idea of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation taking out the medians in place on Northwest 23rd between Broadway and Western. His business, Formosa, has been at Northwest 23rd for a year, and thinks the project would help even more, given the traffic the store sees already.
