Oklahoma leaders look to Utah transit system for future plans

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – City leaders from Oklahoma City, Norman, and Edmond recently traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah, to see firsthand how a regional transit system could work in Central Oklahoma.
The three-day trip, organized by ONE Transit, gave leaders the opportunity to experience Salt Lake City’s established transportation network.
“ONE Transit’s focus is introducing high-capacity transit to the region, high-capacity transit or modes such as commuter rail, light rail, bus rapid transit,” said Jason Ferbrache, interim executive director, ONE Transit.
