OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – New data on distracted driving shows Oklahoma ranks 10th in the nation for the deadliest states for distracted driving. That’s according to a new report from cell phone carrier whistleOut, using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
“I thought we’d be a lot higher, unfortunately,” said MSgt. Eric Kirby, with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s office.
Kirby spends a lot of time around traffic, so he’s not surprised by the new numbers.
The report ranks Oklahoma as the 10th deadliest state for distracted driving.
