Oklahoma reserves $8.7M for electric vehicle station grants, final decision awaited

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — The Oklahoma Transportation Commission has announced the proposed recipients of $8.787 million in federal grants to build electric vehicle charging stations throughout the state along I-35, I-40, and I-44.

The proposed recipients are Love's Travel Centers, Francis Energy, and Tesla. However, the commission halted the final decision for another month on Monday.

The state is also proposing to send the funding to private businesses with operations along the state's interstates.
